Maltodextrin is a mixture of carbohydrates, which is obtained from corn starch. Maltodextrin is a superior and cheaper energy supplier. This property as an energy supplier is appreciated especially by athletes. The product is technically a complex carbohydrate, but throws a blood sugar effect comparable with dextrose.
